The 7th IWE welcomes any contributions with a multidisciplinary perspective, from applied areas, such as teacher training, sports and leisure, social education, communication and media studies, tourism, visual arts and fine arts. Contributions related and sustained in
the following thematics (particularly in domains such as sustainability, biodiversity, education, culture, tourism, art, communication, enterprise, cohesion, rural and urban development and the information society) are especially welcome:

  • 2010 International Year of Biodiversity;
  • 2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and social Exclusion;
  • 2005-2010 – United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development;
  • 2001-2010 – Second International Decade for the Eradication of Colonialism (2001-2010);
  • 2001-2010 – International Decade for Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World;
  • 2005-2015 – International Decade for Action, “Water for Life”.

Accepted papers are to be published in the proceedings book. Contributions should have one of the following formats: Academic paper (30 minutes); Lecture (1-2 hours); Seminar/colloquium sessions (90 min-2 hours); workshop (1-4 hours).
