8, 9, 10 and 11 April 2013, Coimbra, ESEC

It is with great satisfaction that we announce the 10th edition of the International Week of ESEC, under the theme: Citizens´year: a decade of IWE.

As in previous editions, this event aims to gather academics, researchers, teachers, students, organizations and our social partners, among others, to share knowledge and experiences about the selected thematic subjects: Citizens? year; a decade of IWE. We also aim to contribute to the discussion and debate of a thematic that is relevant for all kinds of people and organizations.

Apart from the main thematic of this edition, it is also our intention to explore the ongoing commemorations supported by the UN, UNESCO, EU and other entities. Such themes uniquely encourage us to think about the issues related to citizenship and the challenges presented to the citizens for a more active and committed participation in the decision of their responsibilities in the resolution of the problems and challenges that Humanity currently face.

The 10th IWE welcomes any contributions with a multidisciplinary perspective, from applied areas, such as teacher training, sports and leisure, social education, communication and media studies, tourism and fine arts.
